About the Retreat

Each artist is welcome to bring their preferred medium and a light setup for easy mobility. Elizabeth will bring paper and markers for thumbnails, a watercolour setup for one session, and an oil setup for the other. We'll also send out suggested plein air setup tips for different mediums closer to the event.

  • This retreat is all about shifting perspective.

  • The morning will focus on zooming in close to notice the quiet details ( the veins of a leaf, the shimmer of an insect's wing, the textures beneath our fingertips).

  • In the afternoon, we'll step back to take in the endless Alberta Sky, its movement, light and moods.
